GRAND HAVEN–Closing out their own Lakeshore Cup Tournament on Wednesday evening the Grand Haven boy’s basketball team overwhelmed Traverse City West finishing on top with a 79-55 victory.

The Bucs came out with their foot on the gas draining shots and playing tight on defense pulling ahead 53-26 by the halftime break.

Refusing to slow down the Buccaneers continued to clamp down on the Titans making it extremely difficult to catch up allowing them to run away with the win.

Bashir Neely led the way for Grand Haven dropping in 22 points for the Bucs including six three pointers all in the second quarter while Will Korenstra scored 13 points and Tucker Kooi added 11 points. Owen Worthington chipped in nine points for Grand Haven in the win.

Grand Haven remains perfect and climbs to 4-0 on the season and will next travel to St. Joseph on Tuesday January 4.
