HART — Hart’s girls softball team overwhelmed visiting Manistee Catholic Central, 19-0 and 25-0 in a pair of non-conference games at home Friday.
Game one was shortened to three innings, but the Pirates exploded for 19 hits while Gabby Quijas allowed the Sabers just one hit while striking out four.
Kloe Klotz, Gabby Schmieding and Skylar Smith each had three hits to lead the offense.
In another brief three-inning game in the nightcap, Finley Kistler was the winning pitcher, striking out six in two innings. Schmieding threw the last inning and struck out two.
Smith and Quijas each had four hits to lead the offense. Morgan Marvin, Klotz, Abby Hicks and Audry Swihart had two hits apiece.
