LUDINGTON — Ludington’s girls softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Mason County Central, 3-0 and 6-0 at home Thursday afternoon.

Lilli Goodrich pitched both complete, 5-inning games. In game one, she threw a perfect game with 13 strikeouts. In game two, she gave up two hits and one walk while again striking out 13.

In game one, Rebecca Szoboszlay was 1-for-3 with a run scored and Brynn Fortner was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Szoboszlay was 2-for-3 and scored two runs in game two. Goodrich, Keeley Curtis, and Ayiana Rangel each had a hit and an RBI.

“Tonight was Senior Night, so it was good to get two wins,” said Orioles head coach Sierra Holmes. “Lilli was excellent tonight, and obviously it’s pretty hard to beat a perfect game.

“I would like to have seen us hit the ball a bit better, but we’ve had a very good last two weeks and have been playing better overall.

“We have one more regular season doubleheader next week, and then we’re looking forward to having a few solid days of practice before districts.”

Ludington improved to 16-10 overall.
