NORTON SHORES – The Ludington and Western Michigan Christian girls soccer teams battled to a 1-1 draw on Monday evening.

With the tie, both teams have just two conference games left to determine who captures the Lakes 8 Activities Conference title.

The Orioles and the Warriors each netted their goal on a penalty kick in the first half.

Scoring for the Orioles was Abi Bandstra, while Sydney Betten found the net for the WMC.

Goalkeeper Anyssa Castaneda had 10 saves on the night for Ludington.

Ludington (9-6-1) will continue conference action on Wednesday when they host Orchard View.

Western Michigan Christian (5-5-4, 4-0-2) will also see league play on Wednesday. The Warriors will face off with Muskegon Catholic Central.
