NORTON SHORES –The Western Michigan Christian boys’ soccer team fell to East Grand Rapids on Monday night, 4-0.

Despite battling tough in the first half and holding their own, the Warriors slowly lost steam and fell behind.

“The result was not pretty if you look at the score line, but the way we played in the first half was excellent,” said WMC coach Ben Buursma. “These guys have been working hard and turning in a performance like that against a strong and deep East Grand Rapids squad shows us that they are improving with every game.”

Western Michigan Christian (2-5) will look to bounce back next Tuesday (Sept. 6) when its hosts Manistee.
