GRAND RAPIDS–The Western Michigan Christian boys basketball team had a hard time generating much offense on Friday evening in a 70-31 loss to the Grand Rapids Covenant Christian Chargers.

The Chargers determined the outcome in the first eight minutes as they raced out to a 22-2 lead. They went on to lead comfortably 33-13 at the half.

Covenant Christian led 53-24 at the end of the third period.

Western Michigan Christian (4-13) will travel to Muskegon Heights on Monday.
