KENTWOOD — North Muskegon’s baseball team swept a pair of games at the East Kentwood Invitational on Saturday.

The Norsemen defeated Calvin Christian, 6-4 and East Kentwood, 15-10.

Carson Moat, a senior, started the first game on the hill for the Norsemen and worked the first four innings. He yielded one run on two hits. He walked two and struck out five.
 
Junior Ryan Delora pitched three innings of relief and recorded three strikeouts and no walks.
 
Ben Meyers paced the Norsemen offense with two hits, one RBI and one run. T.J. Byard had a triple, drove in a run and scored one. Sam Gallo added a double and scored a run, while Carter Meiler had one hit and one RBI.
 
Gallo pitched the first 2 2/3 innings of the second game and gave up three hits, walked three and struck out two. Logan Slimko threw the next 1 1/3 innings and surrendered two hits, two walks and struck out four. Troy McManus finished the game and did not give up a hit. He struck out four and walked two.
 
Meyers led the Noremen with two hits, one run batted in, two runs scored and two walks. McManus was 2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored. Delora went 2-for-3 with two walks, drove in three runs and scored three runs. Denny Belmonte had a double and scored three runs.
