GRAND RAPIDS — The Kent City Eagles and Grant Tigers were hosted by Cornerstone University for a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.

In the opener, the Eagles won, 6-2. In the nightcap, the Tigers slipped by with a 4-3 victory.

In Game 1, Justin Mack had three hits for Kent City. That included a double. Webb Longcore had two hits, one a triple, and two RBI. Derek Rodenburg had two hits and winning pitcher Kyler Larson had a triple. On the mound, Larson allowed one earned run and struck out 10 in seven innings of work.

Aiden Booth had a double for Grant.

In the second game, Landon Vold was the winning pitcher for Grant. Chase Geers had a double.

Ryan Darling had a single and knocked in two runs for the Eagles. Zane Kik had a triple.
