KENT CITY — The Kent City Eagles gained early control of their game against Hesperia on Wednesday and cruised to a 13-9 victory.

The host Eagles scored three in the first and five in the second to grab an 8-0 lead.  They added five more in the fourth inning. Hesperia fought back with four in the fifth and five in the seventh.

Justin Mack led Kent City with a pair of hits. Zach Flegel, Kyler Larson and Josh Anderson each had two RBI.

Hesperia was led by Travis Kurtz with two hits, one a home run, and four RBI, Dylan Page had two hits, one a double and Blake Sawyer added a double.
