CANADIAN LAKES–It was a successful day for local girls’ golf teams at St. Ives Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.

The event was hosted by Whitehall.

The Chippewa Hills Warriors won the event with a round of 382. Grand Rapids West Catholic was a distant second at 400.

Ludington finished in third place (412) while Whitehall ended the day at 437. Montague shot 440 for fifth place while Fremont came in sixth place with 441. North Muskegon wound up the day in seventh place at 470.

The event medalist was Ludington senior Emma McKinley, who shot a round of 76.

Other top golfers for the day included Whitehall senior Ava Garcia, who shot a 97 for eighth place and Fremont senior Lilly Schwartz (11th) had a 101. Her teammate, senior Lena Hudson finished in 14th place with a 103 and Whitehall senior Allie Van Antwerp ended up in 15th place with a 104.
