Spring Lake has solid showing on the volleyball court in quad match in Montague

MONTAGUE – The Spring Lake volleyball team made a clean 3-0 sweep of a quad match on Saturday.

The Lakers took down host Montague (25-21, 25-9, 25-27), Holton (25-20, 25-23) and Ravenna (25-12, 25-11).

Kalli Lewkowski and Ella Gapczynski had 28 and 17 kills on offense, respectively. Brooke Bolthouse had 23 digs and six aces while Brooklyn Beeler added 22 digs and five aces.

Kara Constantine contributed with 29 assists and four blocks.

Montague finished the day 2-1 with wins against Holton (25-19, 25-21, 25-7) and Ravenna (25-22, 25-19, 25-19).

Britta Johnson led with 19 digs, 18 kills, nine aces and three blocks while Jordan Netcott had 34 digs, 13 kills and nine aces. Jaelyn Sundberg chipped in 83 assists, 15 digs, six kills and five aces. Reagan Cederquist had 20 kills.

Spring Lake (16-15-3) will be at home against Coopersville on Tuesday.

Montague (10-12-4) will host Ludington on Tuesday.
