A total of 48 area wrestlers finished in the top four in their respective weights at Saturday’s MHSAA Individual Regional Tournament.
They will be heading to the state final round of individual competition in Detroit.
More than 90 area wrestlers participated in the event at various locations throughout the state.
Whitehall led the way with 11 qualifiers, including regional winners Gavin Craner (175) and Darnell Mack (150).
Other regional champions included Tee Ward (Fremont), Kole Thomas (Hart), Alex Hicks (Hart), Hunter Sanford (Mason County Central) and Nick Cano (Shelby).
The state finals are scheduled for March 1-2 at Ford Field in Detroit.
