Crowley sparks Ravenna to opening-round victory over Wellspring in Division 3 districts

KENT CITY – Mattisen Crowley helped propel the Ravenna girls’ basketball team past Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep, 68-14, in the Division 3 district opener on Monday evening.

Crowley poured in 28 points for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs took off for a 44-7 first half and never looked back.

Sydney Morrissey and Alivia Gilbert added seven points apiece, while Natalie Rosel and Addison Gillard each scored six points.

Ravenna (9-14) will be at host Kent City at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the district semifinal.
