MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon girls soccer team blanked Orchard View, 8-0, in a West Michigan Conference matchup on Wednesday evening.

“It was a great win for us as we bounced back from a defeat by Spring Lake in the game before,” said North Muskegon coach Caleb Parnin.

The Norse, ranked No. 1 in Division 4, were limited to two goals in the first half, but opened up the scoring in the second half.

Alex Johnson and Emily Creed led the way with two goals apiece. Allie Jensen, Nat Lindell and Katie Kinahan and Kennedi Koekkoek each added a goal. 

North Muskegon (4-1, 3-1) travels to Saginaw Valley Lutheran on Friday.

Orchard View (1-4, 0-3) visits Muskegon Catholic Central on Friday.
