Chandler Falkowski hit a layup in the closing seconds to give  the North Muskegon girls basketball team a 44-42 non-conference victory over Hesperia on Tuesday.

The contest was tightly contested throughout, with the Norse leading 24-23 at halftime and Hesperia up 33-32 after three quarters.

The Norse had the ball with 11 seconds left and the game tied at 42-42. North Muskegon’s Jaala Duncan took the inbound pass up the court and was able to find Falkowski with a cross-court pass, and she scored with under two seconds left to give her team the dramatic win.

Falkowski had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead North Muskegon.

Emily Bayle carried the load for Hesperia with 23 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, and six assists

North Muskegon improved to 6-14 overall on the season. Hesperia fell to 8-11.
